– The NXT Women’s North American Championship was going to be our opening contest as the show went on the air. Blake Monroe viciously attacked Thea Hail during her entrance. Ricky Saints Segment
Ricky Saints: Well, I guess the Women’s North American Championship Match is gonna be put on paused, but I thought I would come out here and give everyone a very special gift, and what better way is that than to kickoff 2026 by me. I know you guys feel some type of way about me, but I thought I’d at least be honest with you since it’s a new year. And last year, I really needed NXT, but now NXT needs me, baby. And that’s the reason why Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, they all chose free agency, because they knew that, as long as I was here, you cannot compete where you don’t compare. And I don’t blame them at all. There’s only room for one star, and one star only, and that’s me. Yes, I whooped that, just like most of y’all need your ass whooped, too. And that kind of reminds me, the sad truth of everyone in the locker room is that I ain’t going nowhere.
All those athletes, all those independent guys back there, if you come at me, guess what? I’m going to send you back to where you came from, in the exact same manner, because while you are talented, you’re not absolute. And that’s kind of what I’ve been saying since day one. I’ve been telling everybody, I am exactly who I say I am, and I’m gonna keep proving that for 2026. It has been abundantly clear to me, right now, it is natural born stars against the stars they’re trying to create, and I kind of know how this ends. And I ain’t been wrong for 20 years, and I’m damn sure not gonna start right now. Which kind of brings me to the main event, tonight, Leon Slater versus Oba Femi. Honestly, both of you guys, I really don’t care about. But look, Leon, bruv, if it’s you, if you win, I’m gonna handle you in due time. But Oba, it’s you, it is still 1-1, and that still don’t sit right in my spirit. And I am going to finish what I started last year, because look, Oba I slipped, I never fall. But I am gonna make sure that, regardless of who wins, NXT is going to be in my hands, as well as the NXT Championship. And that, as if you needed a reminder, is absolute.
– AVA scolds Robert Stone in the backstage area for the show already being a mess ten second’s in. AVA tells Stone to go find Blake Monroe. AVA grabs a headset from a production member. He’s here to discuss his historic title reign, especially after his most recent title defense against TNA’s largest and most dangerous, competitor. He had 12 successful title match victories in 2025. AVA mentions that Ethan had the same amount of successful title defenses as Dominik Mysterio, Oba Femi and Stephanie Vaquer, but it’s all about him, right? Today, Joe Hendry is here looking for a fight with Dion Lennox from DarkState. They ruined his concert, and he’s sick and tired of their nonsense. Hendry challenges Lennox to a No Disqualification Match for next week. AVA loves Hendry determination, but he would be walking into a Handicap scenario with that type of stipulation. Hendry tells AVA that he can find a couple of bad asses to take care of DarkState, that way the focus can be on him and Dion Lennox. AVA likes the sound of that, and she’ll make the match official if Hendry can find some backup.
Ethan Page, Jasper Troy, Josh Briggs, Stacks, Tavion Heights Segment
Ethan Page: Ladies and gentlemen, I find it fitting, we ring in the new year by celebrating the most dominant superstar of 2025, me, “All Ego” Ethan Page. Adding yet again, another accolade to my giant list of accolades last week, big game hunter, because I bagged myself a Moose. I sent that lunkhead back home to TNA, empty handed, proving yet again, I am the greatest North American alive. Now, folks, in a few short moments, Oba Femi will defend his championship against Leon Slater. And make no mistake about it, everybody, those men, they are not the main event, I am. Ladies and gentlemen, the North American Championship is the most prestigious championship, not only in NXT, but all of WWE. And that championship Oba Femi holds, the NXT Championship, you know, I find it funny that man is apparently our champion, and only defends his title in one part of North America, whereas I have defended my North American Championship against many challengers, from many countries, and many companies, and many brands. And I find myself to be a bit of Globetrotter, so I guess that would make me, technically, an international icon. And folks, in 2026, I’m merely just starting.
Jasper Troy: Why are you out here acting like you’re the only champion in NXT that matters? Hey, don’t get it twisted, you aint the only one who dominated 2025. And in 2026, I’m out here to prove that Jasper Troy is not only the best big man in NXT, it’s that I’m the monster of NXT. It’s like this, Ethan, I ran through LFG like a bulldozer and snatched this Speed Title. This may be the first title I hold this year, but it ain’t gonna be the last title I hold.
Josh Briggs: Jasper, don’t say something stupid like that ever again. You ain’t on my level, you ain’t on my level, no one is. You are not the best big man in NXT, I am, The Man Of Mayhem is, so shut your damn mouth. And Ethan, stop wasting your time with losers like Myles Borne. You’re delusional, almost as delusional as these mouthbreathers in the audience that are yelling at me right now.
Ethan Page: Don’t compare me to them.
Stacks: Gosh, I hate to do it, I hate to interrupt this cannoli measuring contest you guys are having, but we’ve got some unfinished business, don’t we, Ethan? You want to talk about importance, after all that has happened between NXT and TNA last year, I’m the only person from NXT carrying TNA gold. And you want to call yourself an international icon? Adjust your glasses, pal, because I’m international as it gets, I’m the TNA International Champion. Now, Josh, Jasper, you want to argue about who’s bigger, with my beautiful exotic queen by my side, racking up victories in NXT and TNA, big as it gets.
Shiloh Hill: Stacks, man, I’m so glad to see that you’re in a better mood than you were the last time I saw you. I was a little worried that maybe I ruined your Christmas with that Christmas Chaos Action. But here’s the thing, after that victory, your father-in-law, and AVA had a conversation. And it looks like your TNA International Championship reign is gonna be really short lived, because next week, it’s you and me, one-on-one for that title.
Tavion Heights: Okay, Shiloh. Now, this, this right here, this is my type of party. Hey, it’s a new year, we got new champs, rightfully so. But Shiloh, if I may, I loved everything you were saying, but I feel like it’s missing a little bit, it just needs some more me, you know what I mean? But I’m about to fix that right now, don’t you even worry, because next week, you, Jasper, you going to be flying Air Heights. And the next time I leave this venue, it’s going to be as the new NXT Speed Champion.
Ethan Page: Okay, I’ve had about enough of this. Honestly, I’m a little shocked that your big ass is letting him speak to you that way, especially since the last time he came close to a championship, buddy, you dropped the ball.
Heights tried to punch Page, but ended up clocking Troy instead. Briggs shoves Heights into Troy. Briggs drops Troy with The Big Boot. Heights clotheslines Troy over the top rope. Hill goes for The Chokeslam, but Briggs gets in the way. Hill drops Briggs with a running shoulder tackle. Hill clotheslines Stacks over the top rope. Hill blocks a slap from Arianna Grace. Hill does a dance routine with Grace. Hill has Grace in a position for a kiss. Hill’s fake teeth fell on top of Grace’s chest. Grace retreated to the outside to close this segment.
– Coming out of the commercial break, we see Joe Hendry talking to OTM in the backstage area. OTM tells Hendry that they have no business with DarkState. OTM is worried about two things in 2026. One, capturing those NXT Tag Team Titles. Secondly, themselves. Hendry says that he’s here for two reasons, OTM are bad asses, but they’re also intelligent and would realize that getting in the way of DarkState, they would be one step closer to becoming NXT Tag Team Champions. OTM and Joe Hendry wins, and they get exactly what they want, a direct line to the NXT Tag Team Championships. OTM tells Hendry that they’ll see him next week.
– Fatal Influence runs into Sol Ruca and Zaria. Fatal Influence doesn’t love the fact that Sol Ruca won the NXT Female Superstar Of The Year Award, and that ZaRuca were named the best tag team of 2025. Jacy Jayne says that she doesn’t see two titles around Sol’s waist anymore. Sol reminds Jacy that she’s not a double champion as well. Sol tells Jacy that she’ll come after that NXT Women’s Championship in 2026. Jacy thought Sol was in a tag team as she starts walking away.
– Ethan Page interrupted a conversation Myles Borne was having with Tate Wilder. Ethan wants to know where Myles was at during the melee in the arena. Myles says that wasn’t his business. Ethan doesn’t want Myles turning his back on him. He tells Tate Wilder to shut the hell up. Yeah, Tate may be a big player in EVOLVE, but this is NXT, so he should keep his mouth shut and learn a thing or two, unlike his good pal Myles who is in NXT and refuses to take a lick of advice from him. Ethan says that Myles was right, it was not his business, because that business was about champions and challengers, and Myles is clearly neither. Ethan asks Myles if he could hear him now. Tate tells Myles to not let Ethan get under his skin. Myles says that it’s too late.
– Next week on NXT, Joe Hendry will battle Dion Lennox in a No Disqualification Match. Jasper Troy puts his WWE Men’s Speed Championship on the line against Tavion Heights. Lola Vice collides with Kelani Jordan. Plus, Stacks puts his TNA International Championship on the line against Shiloh Hill.

Je’Von Evans, Trick Williams, Lash Legend and Jordynne Grace have all officially moved up to Raw and SmackDown, and she’s certain there will be more call ups. With that being said, there’s potential for a lot of additions to the main NXT Roster. Robert Stone interrupted the meeting. Stone asked AVA if she saw what Oba Femi just did?
