Colorado lands experienced Big Ten OL from transfer portal

After receiving a Crystal Ball prediction from CBS Sports’ Chris Hummer earlier today, Colorado has officially landed Rutgers transfer offensive tackle Taj White.

White is the 18th transfer to commit to the Buffs, but the first offensive line transfer Deion Sanders’ program has added. He is a massive offensive tackle (6-foot-5, 328 pounds) with 20 career starts, including 11 last season.

In his three playing seasons at Rutgers, White started at right tackle 15 times and left guard four times. Furthermore, White only gave up three sacks on 402 pass blocking snaps. He will enter his redshirt senior season with one year of eligibility remaining.

According to Pro Football Focus, White recorded a 71.3 running blocking grade in 2025, a telling sign that new Colorado offensive coordinator Brennan Marion is committed to running the football. That grade would have been the top mark along the Buffs’ offensive line last season.

Landing White is massive (no pun intended) win for CU, which needs bodies along both lines. Given White’s starting experience at right tackle, he could be penciled in as the starter opposite star left tackle Jordan Seaton.
