Purdue sits at 4-0 in conference play with Penn State coming to town today to give Purdue the opportunity to start the Big Ten season 5-0. With a 20 game Big Ten season that means that after today Purdue will be 25% done with conference play. It’s unbelievable that we are already that far into the season. It’s cliche to say that it’s this type of game that trips up teams trying to win the conference title, but it’s a cliche because it’s true. The formula for winning the conference is to go on the road and win the games against lesser teams, don’t lose at home, and try to split your toughest games on the road. This is a game at home against a team that Purdue should be able to take down. Penn State gave Michigan all they could handle earlier in the week, but that was at Penn State and this one is at Mackey. No full Paint Crew, but let’s hope Purdue takes care of business.
