Former 5-star Dylan Raiola expected to schedule visit to Oregon soon

by

For nearly a month, the Oregon Ducks have been reported as a school to watch for Nebraska transfer quarterback Dylan Raiola. Now with the Ducks‘ season coming to a close, Raiola is expected to schedule a visit to Eugene in the near future, per On3’s Pete Nakos.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound passer has completed 69.1% of his passes and thrown for 4,819 yards, 31 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in two seasons at Nebraska.

Raiola was a five-star and ranked as the No. 2 quarterback in the 2024 recruiting class, eventually starting during both his true freshman and true sophomore seasons as a Cornhusker. As a transfer, he’s rated as a four-star and the No. 5 quarterback and No. 14 player overall, per 247 Sports.

Not much has been reported on Raiola’s recruitment via the portal, as he’s “run a low-key transfer recruitment to his point,” per Nakos. But with Oregon being reported early as an initial school of interest, it appears that the former Cornhusker had been waiting to schedule a visit until the Ducks‘ season concluded.

Included in the report is the possibility of Raiola’s younger brother, Dayton, also coming to Oregon, as the younger Raiola was committed to Nebraska before decommitting in November. Dayton is a three-star recruit and the No. 103 ranked quarterback in the 2026 class.

Current Ducks starter Dante Moore still has yet to announce his plans of returning to Eugene for one more season or departing to the NFL, plainly stating “I don’t know my decision yet,” when asked after the College Football Playoff Semifinal loss.

While Raiola has started for two seasons at the collegiate level, there is a path to him coming to Oregon and redshirting for a season as the backup to Moore if he chooses to return. That’s a similar blueprint that Moore took, in which he sat behind sixth-year senior Dillon Gabriel before taking the reins as the Ducks’ starter, something that Raiola could potentially emulate.

Raiola will have two seasons of eligibility.
