Colorado might soon be called “New Mexico State North” after the Buffaloes landed their third former Aggie, with defensive lineman Ezra Christensen committing to the Buffs.
Christensen joins linebacker Tyler Martinez and safety Naeten Mitchell as the former Aggies who will team up again in Boulder. The 6-foot-2, 280-pounder might be the best of the talented trio, totaling 11 tackles for loss and six sacks to go along with his 42 tackles. He also led FBS defensive linemen with 28 quarterback hurries. Pro Football Focus gave Christensen the third-highest grade (88.9) among defensive tackles in the FBS this past season.

The former NMSU and Fresno State product is the third true defensive tackle the Buffs have added, and the ninth defensive lineman overall, underscoring the clear commitment from head coach Deion Sanders to improving the position.
247Sports ranks Christensen as a three-star prospect and the portal’s No. 28 defensive lineman. He was also a three-star junior college product before he joined Fresno State in 2023.
Christensen’s addition gives the Buffaloes a more than capable three-down defensive tackle that can rush the passer and play the run at an elite level, two traits Colorado’s defense severely lacked in 2025.
