LSU football signs transfer portal center from SEC rival

LSU football signed another transfer portal offensive lineman over the weekend, continuing to address a key need for head coach Lane Kiffin and staff. The newest addition is former Tennessee offensive lineman William Satterwhite.

Satterwhite signed with Tennessee in 2024 as a four-star recruit, ranking No. 280 overall in Rivals Industry Rankings.

Now a transfer, Satterwhite is ranked as the No. 65 interior offensive lineman in the class.

Satterwhite played 45 snaps as a freshman in 2024. He fell short of winning a starting job in 2025, but he still saw 137 snaps. Per PFF, he posted a 48.9 offensive grade and allowed four pressures in 65 pass blocking snaps.

Satterwhite doesn’t bring proven production to LSU, but he’s talented and LSU needs all the help it can get in its offensive line room. LSU is working to retain center Braelin Moore and Satterwhite won’t challenge for a starting job there, but he’ll be in the mix to start at guard. This isn’t just a move for 2026, though. Satterwhite has multiple years of eligibility remaining and factors into the future, too.
