PFL books Johnny Eblen vs. Bryan Battle, more for Pittsburgh

by

PFL’s stateside 2026 campaign is slowly being mapped out.

It’s been a relatively quiet “offseason” for the promotion, but the fight announcement well has finally broken. On Tuesday, the promotion announced PFL Pittsburgh will be headlined by two middleweight bouts: Johnny Eblen vs. Bryan Battle, and Impa Kasanganay vs. Dalton Rosta.

PFL Pittsburgh takes place March 28 at UPMC Events Center.

Eblen (16-1) entered PFL as one of its most highly touted talent acquisitions after the merger with Bellator. He won his first two fights under the new regime before he shockingly lost his title to Costello van Steenis last July in the 2025 Submission of the Year. Eblen had been winning much of their five-round title fight but was submitted with 10 seconds left.

Battle (12-2) signed with the PFL almost immediately following his UFC departure in August. Battle was a successful UFC fighter, but the promotion axed him for repeated weight misses across to divisions. He competed twice in Dirty Boxing in the back-half of 2025 with two wins in as many appearances.

Since he won the 2023 PFL light heavyweight title, Kasanganay (19-6) has had ups and downs. He’s 4-3 since that time and most recently snapped a two-fight skid in August when he defeated Andrew Sanchez by third-round TKO.

Rosta (11-2) aims to bounce back from a head kick loss to Fabian Edwards in the 2025 PFL World Tournament middleweight final. The loss snapped a three-fight winning streak including back-to-back tournament wins over Sadibou Sy and Aaron Jeffery.

The current PFL Pittsburgh lineup includes:

  • Johnny Eblen vs. Bryan Battle

  • Impa Kasanganay vs. Dalton Rota
