Catchings was a four-time All-SEC performer. She was named Associated Press, Naismith, USBWA and WCBA National Player of the Year in 2000. Additionally, Catchings was the 2001 ESPY Women’s Basketball Player of the Year.

She was chosen for the 1998 and 2000 NCAA Tournament All-Final Four Teams and the 2000 NCAA Regional Tournament Most Outstanding Player. The former Lady Vol was a member of the NCAA Tournament All-Regional Team in 1998 and 2000.

Catchings played professionally for the Indiana Fever from 2001-16 after being selected third overall in the 2000 WNBA draft. She was the league’s MVP in 2011. Catchings, a 10-time WNBA All-Star, was the WNBA Finals MVP in 2012. She earned WNBA Defensive Player of the Year five times (2005-06, 2009-10, 2012).
