Nebraska (14-4, 3-4) visited No. 14 Michigan State (17-1, 6-1) for another top-25 showdown on Thursday night. The game came down to the wire, and for the Huskers, it resulted in a 73-71 defeat.
Neither team managed to build a double-digit lead, resulting in a close, back-and-forth game from start to finish. Nebraska managed to jump ahead 69-66 over the Spartans with 1:35 left in the game, backed by an Amiah Hargrove seven-point surge. Hargrove finished with 21 points in the loss, shooting 9-of-11 and 2-of-3 from beyond the arc.

However, Michigan State landed a three-pointer to tie the game before Britt Prince hit a jumper to give Nebraska the 71-69 lead. Prince tallied 16 points on the night, hitting 5-of-9 from the floor, 2-of-2 from three-point range and 4-of-4 from the free throw line.
But Michigan State closed the game out with four straight free throws following two Nebraska fouls. The Spartans finished 16-of-20 from the line while the Huskers suffered 19 fouls. Nebraska also coughed up 22 turnovers.
The Huskers finished 26-of-51 in total, 7-of-20 from three-point range and 12-of-13 from the charity line. Michigan State hit 27-of-54 from the floor and just 3-of-17 from beyond the arc.
Jessica Petrie and Petra Bozan each tallied eight points in the loss, with Petrie hitting 4-of-4 from the line and Bozan landing 3-of-5 from the floor.

The Huskers remain on the road for their next matchup, heading up to Wisconsin on Wednesday night. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CT on B1G+.
