Just a day after earning Big Ten Player of the Week honors, Iowa women’s basketball senior forward Hannah Stuelke added another lofty distinction to her resume. Stuelke was named Associated Press National Player of the Week on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
This past week, Stuelke scored 18 points on 7-for-12 shooting, grabbed eight rebounds, and had a career-high eight assists in a win over Oregon. Stuelke followed that up with a 22-point performance on 10-for-14 shooting, adding nine rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block in Iowa’s victory over Michigan State.
So far this season, the 6-foot-2 native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is averaging 14.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game on 55.3% shooting. Stuelke also has 25 steals on the campaign.

Stuelke and the rest of the Hawkeyes will look to remain unbeaten in Big Ten play on Thursday, Jan. 22, when they visit the XFINITY Center for a matchup against No. 13 Maryland (17-3, 5-3) in College Park, Md. The contest is scheduled to tip off at 5 p.m. CT and will stream on Peacock.
