The Connecticut Huskies moved to 19-0 on the season after defeating the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Monday. “Defeated” might be too nice a word for it, though.

The reigning national champion Huskies rolled to an 85-47 victory over the Irish, in which UConn sophomore Sarah Strong led a balanced scoring effort with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

After Monday’s dominant home win over Notre Dame, Strong is getting closer to a basketball milestone. She could be the first player in the history of college basketball — men’s or women’s — to produce a 60/40/90 season.

Strong is shooting 59.9 percent from the field for the top-ranked Huskies, to go along with a 42.0 percentage from 3-point range and an 89.7 percent success rate at the free-throw line. In only 26.9 minutes per game, Strong is averaging 18.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 3.7 steals.
