LSU and coach Kim Mulkey will face UConn and coach Geno Auriemma in a women’s basketball game during the 2026-27 season.
That much we know.
When and where that game will be played, though, remains to be seen.

Former UConn player and current analyst Rebecca Lobo said last week on “A Touch More,” a podcast co-hosted by Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe, that the game was a go and that it would be held at a neutral site in Nashville.
USA Today reported on Jan. 19 that the game will be played at Bridgestone Arena, home of the Nashville Predators, and will air on ESPN.
However, a representative with the booking office at Bridgestone told The Tennessean on Jan. 20 that there is no matchup between LSU and UConn currently scheduled for 2026.
The two teams have not met since 2016.
Nashville Predators beat reporter Alex Daughtery contributed to this report.
