It’s always interesting to see how a head coach votes during the final US LBM Coaches Poll, and for Notre Dame’s Marcus Freeman, he certainly tried to make a statement as shared by Tyler Horka.
For some odd reason, Alabama was still ranked ahead of the Irish, but not according to Freeman, who had the Crimson Tide a spot behind his team at No. 10. He also placed Brigham Young, a Notre Dame 2026 opponent who also was skipped over in the College Football Playoff at No. 11.

There was a big omission as well, as Freeman opted to leave USC out of his top-25 all-together. This was most likely a jab at the Trojans, who decided that they couldn’t play Notre Dame anymore due to the potential of missing out on the CFP. It was a weak eat out of the storied rivalry, and Freeman made sure they knew it as well.
It was fun to see how the Irish’s leader opted to vote in the final coaches poll, as he most likely didn’t have one of his staff members submit the picks.
