Italyโs Francesco Ceolin, Euro Juniors Finalist, Lends 2027 Verbal to Harvard
NEW COMMIT:ย Harvard University has received a verbal commitment* for Fall 2027 from Italian international Francesco Ceolin. Ceolin, who Treviso, Italy, specializes in butterfly and freestyle.
Regarding his commitment, he said:

After visiting several outstanding universities, I felt that Harvard best reflected the values I believe in: hard work, balance, and constant growth, both in the pool and in academic life.โ
Ceolin trains year-round with Team Veneto under Andrea Franconetti. He represented Italy at the 2025 European Junior Championships and advanced to the final of the 100m fly and the semifinal of the 50m fly. He then raced at the 2025 World Aquatics Junior Championships where he placed 12th in the 100m fly and 16th in the 50m fly.
Last month, he earned lifetime bests in the 200m free and 50m fly at the Italian Short Course Championships.
In LCM, his best times include:

- 200 fly โ 2:02.33
- 50 free โ 23.57
- 100 free โ 50.05

In SCY, those times convert to:
- 50 fly โ 21.18

Ceolinโs a huge get for the Crimson. His best times (converted to yards) would already score in the A-final of the 100 fly, the B-final of the 100 free and 200 free, and the C-final of the 200 fly at the 2025 Ivy League Championships.
