Shrine Bowl measurements for 5 Texas A&M players revealed

by

Texas A&M’s 2025 roster was one of the oldest in the country, including five offensive linemen with three to five years of experience, paired with senior edge Cashius Howell and junior linebacker Taurean York, who led the defense in several categories. Out of the over a dozen veterans who declared for the 2026 NFL Draft, five were invited to participate in next week’s annual East-West Shrine Bowl.

Cashius Howell’s historic 2025 season included a career high 11.5 sacks and over 40 pressures, earning unanimous All-American honors, and is considered by many as a likely first or second round NFL Draft selection in the coming months. However, Howell, along with several fellow Aggies, will participate in this weekend’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.

So, who are the five Texas A&M players who will participate in the East-West Shrine Bowl? Cornerback Tyreek Chappell, defensive linemen Tyler Onyedim and Albert Regis, offensive lineman Ar’Maj Reed-Adams, and linebacker Taurean York will represent the Aggies this weekend in the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas.

One of the more interesting aspects of the NFL scouting process, which officially kicks off this weekend, is the official measurements for each player, which matter much more than others, especially quarterbacks, offensive linemen, and cornerbacks.

Thanks to Austin American-Statesman A&M beat writer Tony Catalina for releasing all five Texas A&M players’ official measurements. Here are the official results:

  • CB Tyreek Chappell 5’10” 181

  • DT Tyler Onyedim 6’3” 290

  • OL Ar’Maj Reed-Adams 6’5” 317

  • DT Albert Regis 6’1” 308

  • LB Taurean York 5’10” 232

For Chappell, who will likely continue to play at the nickel corner spot, his size won’t be an issue, as it is for Reed-Adams, who could also kick out to right tackle due to his size and versatility. Albert Regis is undersized inside, but is considered one of the top run stoppers who plays with a high motor, while Taurean York is built like a tank, but still lacks the necessary size to thrive as a full-time middle linebacker in the NFL.
