Irish’s Hidalgo reaches 2,000 career points

SOUTH BEND — Hannah Hidalgo broke the Notre Dame women’s basketball program record for career steals and became the seventh player in program history to reach 2,000 career points in Notre Dame’s 74-66 win over Miami (Fla.) on Thursday.

Hidalgo scored a game-high 27 points while adding 10 steals, five assists and two rebounds. She pushed her career steals total to 388, passing Irish legend Skylar Diggins’ record of 381.

Also for ND (13-6, 5-3), Iyana Moore scored 19 points.
