Samantha Irvin just made it known: she’s not done with professional wrestling, but she’s coming back with a whole new vibe.
After a fan tweeted on January 25, 2026, “You were literally the best on the mic in such a long time… good luck with all your endeavors, us fans are always going to be selfish and wish it went longer,” Irvin responded, confirming that she plans to return to wrestling not as a ring announcer, but as a manager.
“Thank you so much! I promise I will bring even more gusto to the mic when managing talent 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽”
Another fan pitched a dream scenario involving her real-life partner Ricochet: “The Ricochet return and push with you as the manager is going to be so sick 🔥”. Irvin didn’t hold back her thoughts on that either, making it clear she believes they would be historic together.
“I would be a bad manager if I advised him to return. But us together will be historic, I do believe that 🙏🏽”
While Irvin initially exited WWE before an episode of Monday Night RAW in October 2024, the full story behind her absence only recently came to light. According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select, Irvin actually re-signed with WWE in early 2024 with a big raise—along with a two-year non-compete clause that runs through October 2026.
“Yeah, so she had signed a new deal, I believe, early 2024. She had told them she didn’t want to be a ring announcer anymore. But they offered her a significant pay raise.”
That pay boost came with a cost, as WWE pushed her front and center on TV to get their money’s worth, even if it meant subjecting her to online backlash.
“But with that pay raise comes WWE, you know, obviously trying to make their money back on that. So that’s why you saw the camera on her face and all that. And then when they put the camera on her face, that leads to a lot of harassment and criticism and all that stuff. But they were trying to create viral moments with that.”
So while Irvin is currently enjoying her life at home with Ricochet, her daughter, and their dogs, her return to wrestling is still very much on the table. But when she comes back, it’ll be on her terms and in a whole new role, something that fans are excited about.
