It took some extra time, but the Wisconsin Badgers have signed what is expected to be the final two players in their transfer class this offseason: Louisville quarterback Deuce Adams and wide receiver Eli Adams.
Deuce Adams was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2024. He redshirted his true freshman season, not throwing a single pass, and backed up starter Miller Moss as a redshirt freshman, making his first career start against SMU.

In that loss, Adams threw for 94 yards on 12/17 passing, while rushing five times for 24 yards. He finished the season with 112 passing yards, while completing 15 of 21 attempts. At 6’2, 190 pounds, he also fits the dual-threat mold that offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes prefers, and adds depth to a room that will look completely different in 2025.
Wisconsin also added Colton Joseph as a transfer from Old Dominion, and he’ll come in to start after throwing for 2,624 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions as a sophomore. Adams will compete with rising sophomore Carter Smith to back him up, with the other likely being the No. 3 quarterback this season.
Eli Adams is considered a three-star transfer recruit, according to 247Sports, and comes from Louisville after not playing a game during either his true freshman or redshirt freshman seasons. At 6’0, 190 pounds, he’ll join a revamped wide receiver room.
With the two additions, Wisconsin has signed 33 players from the transfer portal this offseason, and have their roster set for the spring.
