THE CHAMPIONS!
Drama, goals and nonstop excitement across Europe happened on the final matchday of the league phase of the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League, when 18 matches kicked off simultaneously to decide which teams advance to the next round and which are eliminated.
Some of the key highlights of today were Chelsea defeating Napoli 3-2 to see them finish in the top eight and to deny Antonio Conte’s team a playoff spot overall. Also, we saw Benfica defeat Real Madrid 4-2 to not only see Jose Mourinho’s side qualify for the playoff but for Álvaro Arbeloa’s team join them as well.
Finally, Arsenal finished with a perfect record, winning all eight games in the league phase following a 3-2 win over Kairat Almaty, and finished in first place.
