This weekend, four Texas A&M veterans, including tight end Nate Boerkircher, will play in the annual Senior Bowl on Saturday afternoon, as the former Nebraska transfer made the most of his one season in College Station, ending the year with a career high 19 receptions for 198 yards and three touchdowns, and was one of the better in-line blockers in the country.
All 32 NFL teams are always in need of versatile tight end prospects who aren’t just blockers or hybrid wide receivers, and Boerkircher has already made some money this week after an impressive performance during Wednesday’s practice, running crisp routes and making one of the more impressive catches you’ll see all week.

Standing at 6’4″ and over 250 pounds, Boerkircher quickly became the most reliable tight end target for starting quarterback Marcel Reed, and while his stats don’t jump off the page, nothing matches his memorable touchdown catch in the final seconds of the Aggies’ Week 3 road win over Notre Dame, reeling in a pass that, according to Boerkircher, was made just seconds before his eyes opened after finding just enough room against man coverage.
Boerkircher’s high motor and elite blocking could lead to the senior being selected in the bottom half of the 2026 NFL Draft, but if he does become an undrafted free agent, whoever is lucky enough to pick him up is likely getting an immediate first-year contributor on special teams.
Joining offensive tackles Dametrious Crownover, Trey Zuhn, and linebacker Scooby Williams, Boerkircher is certainly a name to watch on Saturday.
