Novak Djokovic wrote ultimate tennis history at the Australian Open after beating Botic van de Zandschulp in the third round.
The legendary Serb provided his 400th Major victory, becoming the first player in tennis history to achieve that.

Novak has been on a roll at Majors since 2011. He collected numerous victories season after season and laid the foundation for this record last year after the semi-final run at all four notable events.
Thus, the Belgrade native entered the 2026 campaign with 397 Major triumphs on his tally. He passed the opening three rounds in Melbourne to achieve an incredible record at 38, a testimony to his everlasting resilience.
Novak's first Major win came at Roland Garros almost 20 years ago. Since then, he has been among the players to beat at all four notable events, collecting over 100 wins at three of them and standing on 95 in New York.
Djokovic provided at least 15 Major victories in 17 seasons, hoping to repeat that in 2026. He delivered 72 top-10 triumphs and bested a top-5 rival 42 times.

Novak defeated 47 rivals from Spain, 45 from Frances and 39 from the USA en route to that magical number of 400. The legend collected 112 wins after the fourth round, dominating in the latter stages on the biggest scenes like no one before him.
Djokovic ousted Roger Federer 11 times, with eight more wins over Andy Murray and seven against Rafael Nadal and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Remarkably, 77 of his victories came after turning 35, which is extraordinary.
Over his incredible journey, Novak faced players born in the wide span between 1976 and 2005. He came from two sets to love down eight times, proving his die-hard spirit and competitive fire.
