The Oklahoma Sooners have picked up steam in their recruitment of 2028 running back Micah Rhodes. The Sooners were included in Rhodes’ top three, along with Texas and Texas A&M, a couple of weeks ago. OU now looks like the favorite to land the No. 1 running back in the cycle.
Sam Spiegelman of Rivals issued a prediction favoring the Sooners in Rhodes recruitment on Thursday morning.

Rhodes is the No. 28 overall player and No. 1 running back in the cycle according to 247Sports. Rivals has him ranked as the No. 91 overall player and the No. 10 running back in the class.
He’s a dynamic running back who displays fantastic contact balance. Rhodes has the speed to win to the outside, the ability to run between the tackles and stay on his feet after contact, and the agility to make defenders miss in the open field.
It’s still early in the 2028 recruiting cycle, but the Oklahoma Sooners have put themselves in a strong position to land one of the best players in the class in Micah Rhodes.
