Alabama guard Labaron Philon Jr. has officially been featured in ESPN’s Top 50 College Basketball Players at Midseason list.
The star guard was ranked as the No. 8 overall player in college basketball, as Philon has been nothing short of elite throughout the entire 2025-26 campaign. Philon currently averages 22 points on 51.6% shooting along with 5.1 assists per game, as the talented sophomore has played a vital role in the Tide’s backcourt throughout the past two seasons.

An Alabama native, Philon officially finds himself amongst the top players in all of college basketball during the first half of the season, as the playmaker continues to thrive throughout his time in Tuscaloosa.
A former four-star recruit, Philon was ranked as the No. 4 point guard and the No. 35 overall player from the class of 2024, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. The star playmaker is widely regarded as a potential top pick in this year’s NBA draft, as Philon has continued to thrive on a nightly basis throughout the entirety of his collegiate career.
Philon and the Tide will face the Florida Gators on Sunday afternoon, as the star sharpshooter continues to turn heads in 2025-26.
