The University of Michigan men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams swept Denison on senior day, Saturday, Jan. 31, at Canham Natatorium in Ann Arbor.
The Michigan men won 202-92 and the women won 202-87.
The Wolverines started with a win in the 400 medley relay. Milla Drakopoulos, Letitia Sim, Brady Kendall and Ella Jo Piersma won in 3:30.55.
Kendall won the 100 freestyle in 48.07. Sim won the 200 breaststroke in 2:08.13.
U.S. Olympian Bella Sims won the 200 backstroke in 1:51.46.
Michigan’s Stephanie Balduccini, a Brazilian Olympian sprinter, won the 1000 free in 9:41.72. Hannah Bellard won the 200 free in 1:43.83 and 100 fly (51.78). Devon Kitchel won the 100 backstroke in 52.99. Sarah Pasquella won the 100 breaststroke in 1:00.99. Leila Fack won the 200 butterfly (1:55.99). Christey Liang won the 50 free (22.50). Aoi Kondo won diving (286.65). Rebecca Diaconescu won the 500 free in 4:47.66. Elonia Lobedecis won 3-meter (318.08).
Denison’s Phoebe Ferguson won the 200 IM in 2:06.16. Denison’s Isabel GLover, Olivia Morse, Maddie Schaefer and Emily Harris won the 200 free relay in 1:34.97, with Michigan exhibitioning the event.
In the men’s meet, Michigan’s Eitan Ben-Shitrit, Matthew Kroll, Tyler Ray and Luka Mladenovic won in 3:09.12.
Ben-Shitrit won the 100 back in 47.24. Ray won the 200 fly in 1:40.62.
Michigan’s William Savarese won the 1000 free in 9:10.63. Colin Geer won the 200 free in 1:35.52 and 200 breast (1:55.60). Ozan Kalafat won the 100 breast in 53.80. Antione Sauve won the 50 free in 19.94 and 500 free (4:20.96). Julian Cardenas won 3-meter (384.23). Boldizsar Magda won the 100 free in 44.48. Jack Wilkening won the 200 back (1:43.37). Ole Eidam won the 100 fly (45.87). Emmitt Reesor won 1-meter (347.93).
Denison’s Liam Nelson won the 200 IM in 1:54.51. Denison’s Jack Hill, Nick Hensel, Samuel Hibbert and Harry Parsons won the 200 free relay in 1:21.37. The Wolverines exhibitioned the event.
