The USC Trojans lost two high-level receivers who have declared for the NFL draft: Makai Lemon and Ja’Kobi Lane. Both guys will be truly missed, but hope is not completely lost. Tanook Hines looks ready to take the next step, and he is coming off a dominant bowl game performance vs TCU. The Trojans have a lot of talent also coming in from their 2026 recruiting class, including highly touted receiver Kayden Dixon-Wyatt.
The 4-star recruit made the flip decision to go to USC after previously committing to Ohio State. As a senior, he caught 42 passes for 693 yards and 8 touchdowns. The star receiver very well could make an early impact, just like Hines did this past season. In recent news, he might have some extra motivation to make an impact early.

In a recent tweet, Kayden Dixon-Wyatt took Rivals’ ranking as bulletin board material. Rivals came out with their rankings of the top 10 receivers from the 2026 class, and Dixon-Wyatt thought it was funny seeing his name at 5.
Here are Kayden Dixon-Wyatt’s thoughts on the rankings in a brief response:
” Lol #fighton”.
“Fighton” is a trademark at USC that can be seen in just about every post involving the Trojans. While he may not agree with the ranking, this goes to show how fully bought in Dixon-Wyatt is to the USC football program and that he is focused on what is important.
Nothing is better than having the doubters be a lot lower on your potential than you are. Dixon-Wyatt has all the makings of the next great Trojan receiver, and he could not have landed in a better program. Many may think Lincoln Riley is most known for his success with quarterback development, but he has also had some bona fide stars benefit from his offense and play receiver in his years as a college coach.

Dixon-Wyatt will look to prove his doubters wrong, and I think, just like Tanook Hines, he will be heavily involved in the Trojans’ offense in year 1. There has been a lot of hype surrounding the 2026 recruiting class for the USC Trojans, but players like Dixon-Wyatt will turn that hype into real success this upcoming season.
