SEC football ranking rankings entering national signing day

by

The Alabama Crimson Tide have the SEC’s No. 1 recruiting class entering national signing day, which is expected to be pretty uneventful. In 247Sports’ recruiting rankings, just one player ranked in the top-200 is unsigned.

With national signing day expected to be uneventful, most of the SEC’s recruiting rankings are locked in place. The Georgia Bulldogs check in as the SEC’s second-best recruiting class. Coach Kirby Smart and Georgia have the No. 6 recruiting class in the nation, which is Georgia’s worst recruiting class since Smart’s first class (2016) at Georgia. The Bulldogs have three recruits left to sign in the class of 2026 (defensive back Chace Calicut, punter Wade Register and long snapper Colton Dermer).

The conference as a whole continues to be dominant on the recruiting trail. The SEC has six of the country’s top-11 recruiting classes in the 2026 cycle ahead of signing day. The conference has 11 of top-25 recruiting classes across the nation.

Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M all have top-10 recruiting classes and should finish in the top-10 range. Alabama leads the SEC with four five-star signees. Tennessee, Texas and LSU all signed multiple five-stars.
