Pakistan Super League (PSL), which is scheduled to start from 26th March 2026 and the final will be on May 3rd, will be entering its 11th edition. The premier competition of Pakistan has added two new teams for the forthcoming season, Sialkot Stallionz and Kingsmen Hyderabad. They have also introduced a new rule in the competition of signing one direct player right ahead of the action, which was missing in the 10th edition.
The player auction will be taking place on the 11th of February. Ahead of that, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided not to broadcast its league in India. They have decided not to sell PSL media rights in India; in the previous edition, Sony Sports bought the rights to broadcast the games. This decision comes right after the row between India and Pakistan.
Pakistan Cricket Board has not found its own broadcasting channel to telecast the league. After initial bids were completed failed back in January to meet its reserve price. As per the reports from Pakistan media, the board had decided on a high price for the bidding, anticipating strong interest from the media channels as the tournament expands from six to eight teams for the first time.

After the initial failure, they are yet to hold a second round of the bidding process for acquiring the media services. However, there has been no official confirmation on the date when the second round of the bidding process will begin. Pakistan Cricket is going through tough times.
PCB and ICC still fight out
After months of dilemma for the participation in the upcoming T20 World Cup Pakistan government, on Sunday, posted on social media informing that their team will be travelling to Sri Lanka, where their group stage matches are scheduled, but will not play against India. Amid the political row between the countries, the media rights have not been sold.
Pakistan Cricket Board has not commented on the matter and is expected to support the national government’s decision. They have not even sent any kind of formal notice to the International Cricket Council regarding their ‘selective playing’ in the T20 World Cup. Their stance comes after Bangladesh, who were removed from the marquee tournament when it refused to travel to India, citing security reasons. Pakistan was the only member to have supported them.
Pakistan Cricket to shut down?
If the Pakistan Cricket Board does not change its stance and gets sanctioned by the ICC, it might turn out to be a huge loss in terms of its cricketing aspect. As there are chances of the foreign players receiving sanctions for participating in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). This could turn out to be a huge loss for the PCB, as it stands, England red-ball players would not be given NOCs by their board for the upcoming PSL season.
In short, the Pakistan Cricket Board has been in shallow waters, and could even face a ban from playing cricket, and their revenue might be on hold from the apex body, considering their participation in the match against India.
