BATON ROUGE ― There’s arguably no hotter team in the Southeastern Conference than LSU women’s basketball.
The Tigers’ seven-game win streak, the longest active streak in the SEC, has moved them back into the top 5 in the major college basketball polls over the last couple of weeks. And that’s where Kim Mulkey and LSU (21-2, 7-2 SEC) remain in this week’s USA TODAY Coaches Poll at No. 5.

LSU dominated No. 23 Alabama, 103-63, this past Sunday. With Duke’s return to the top 25, Mulkey’s team now has four wins versus ranked opponents this season. The Tigers will have a shot to climb up higher in the rankings this week as they travel to face No. 4 Texas (21-2, 6-2) this Thursday (8 p.m. CT, ESPN).
