France and England enter the 2026 men’s Six Nations Championship looking to become the most successful side in the 26-year history.
Should current holders France retain their title, they will win the tournament for a record eighth time – putting them ahead of England’s seven championship wins.
Wales and Ireland sit below them in the standings with six titles each.
Italy and Scotland are the only nations who have never won the competition in its modern era.
The competition was born as the Home Nations, featuring just England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland when it began in 1883. It later expanded to include France and become the Five Nations in 1910. The addition of Italy in 2000 led to the modern Six Nations tournament.
