At this point in her career, Brittney Griner has already firmly established herself as one of the greatest players in WNBA history. The 35-year-old veteran just completed his 11th season in the league and her first with the Atlanta Dream.

Griner joined the Dream in the offseason after spending the first 11 seasons of her career with the Phoenix Mercury. It was the Mercury that selected the 6-foot-9 center as the first-overall pick in the 2013 WNBA Draft.

Griner started the 2025 season as Atlanta’s starter. However, for the first time in her career, she came off the bench for the latter part of the campaign. The former Baylor Bears star finished with career-low numbers of 9.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 20.8 minutes per contest.

Griner is part of Vinyl Basketball Club. Some of her WNBA teammates include Courtney Williams, Rhyne Howard and Dearica Hamby, to name a few. Their coach is Hall of Famer Teresa Weatherspoon.
