Super Bowl LX tickets have dropped to a surprising new low, now undercutting the average price of tickets for the College Football Playoff National Championship game.
Over the past month, the cost of attending the Super Bowl has fallen sharply, reversing the usual pricing order between the NFL’s title game and college football’s biggest night.

The shift means Super Bowl LX tickets are now trading for less than seats to the College Football Playoff championship between the Indiana Hoosiers and Miami Hurricanes on January 19, 2026.

Super Bowl LX ticket prices have dropped sharply
According to TicketData, last month, the average resale ticket price for Super Bowl LX stood at $6,581, a figure consistent with typical demand for the NFL’s premier event.
In recent days, that number has fallen dramatically, with the average ticket price dropping to $3,526 as of yesterday.
The decline represents a steep reduction in market value as kickoff approaches, bucking the long-standing trend of Super Bowl tickets remaining the most expensive in American sports.

College Football Playoff tickets now cost more on average
By comparison, tickets for the College Football Playoff National Championship game between Indiana and Miami carried a higher average price of $3,826 when the game was played on January 19, 2026.
That means fans looking to attend Super Bowl LX can now do so for less, on average, than those who attended college football’s championship game just weeks earlier.
The pricing flip highlights how matchup appeal, timing, and resale market behaviour can dramatically impact ticket values, even for the most high-profile sporting events.
