What a night it was at the Breslin Center on Saturday.
Michigan State bounced back in a big way, snapping a two-game losing streak in a thrilling overtime win over No. 5 Illinois on Saturday. It was a back-and-forth game, but it wasn’t until overtime that Michigan State was truly able to pull away and build a lead large enough to secure the notable victory.

Michigan State got star performances from a number of key players, but none were bigger and brighter than what Jeremy Fears Jr. did against the Fighting Illini. Fears scored 26 points and dished out 15 assists to put together arguably the best game of his college career.
With Saturday’s victory, Michigan State improved to 20-4 overall and 10-3 in Big Ten play on the year. The Spartans will be off now for nearly an entire week before returning to the floor in a road test at Wisconsin on Friday night.
