The highlight of Sunday, of course, was Super Bowl LX between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. Earlier in the day, however, both USC basketball teams played important road games.
First, the men’s team took down Penn State in a thriller. Alijah Arenas hit the game-winning layup with less than one second remaining to give the Trojans a 77-75 victory.

Then, the Women of Troy went to Champaign and defeated Illinois 70-62. The Trojans led by 14 points at halftime and held off a fourth quarter surge by the Illini to survive.
Both teams are currently on winning streaks. The men’s team has now won three straight games, while the women have racked up four victories in a row.
Eric Musselman’s group is back in action on Wednesday when the Trojans visit Ohio State. Lindsay Gottlieb and the Women of Troy, meanwhile, will return home to Galen Center to host Indiana on Thursday night.
