The Indiana Hoosiers hope to take care of business tonight when they host the struggling Oregon Ducks in a Big Ten showdown in Bloomington.
The Hoosiers have won four of five after a thrilling OT win over Wisconsin. They have a big stretch coming up, but can’t afford to overlook an injury-riddled Ducks team that has just one win in conference play.

See why I’m backing Lamar Wilkerson to carry the Hoosiers in my Oregon vs. Indiana predictions and college basketball picks below.
Oregon vs Indiana prediction
Oregon vs Indiana best bet: Lamar Wilkerson Over 21.5 points (-105)
Lamar Wilkerson has been a monster for the Indiana Hoosiers since Big Ten play began. The Sam Houston State transfer dropped 44 points in Indiana’s conference home opener against Penn State, and he’s scored 21+ in eight of his 13 conference games to date.
And he’s difficult to guard. His ability to slash to the rim not only leads to a fair amount of points inside, but also leads to him getting to the foul line often. He’s attempted 20 free throws in his last three games, making all but one of them.

Wilkerson is dangerous from midrange, an area where he’s been attacking more often of late. He’s also a high-volume outside shooter. In Big Ten play, he’s averaging 37.2% from beyond the arc and has attempted an average of 9.3 treys per game.
Against the Oregon Ducks, he should be able to have his way. The Ducks rank 15th in 3-point percentage defense among all Big Ten teams since the start of conference play.
They also rank 14th in adjusted defensive efficiency and 14th in free-throw rate defense. They foul often, struggle to protect the defensive glass, and struggle to defend against midrange shooters.
They also don’t have the personnel to match up well with Wilkerson. While Nate Bittle’s return will make getting to the rim a bit tougher, Oregon’s perimeter defense is simply not good enough to contend with Wilkerson’s length.

Iowa’s Bennett Stirtz just hung 32 on the Ducks. Wilkerson is capable of something similar tonight.
Oregon vs Indiana same-game parlay
People often talk about what Tucker DeVries does on offense, but he’s become a very consistent rebounder on the defensive end lately. He’s averaging 8.8 boards over his last five games and should make an impact on the glass against an Oregon team ranked 10th in offensive rebounding in conference play.
Bittle’s return gives Oregon some scoring punch inside, especially against an Indiana defense that doesn’t seem to play up to its metrics. Meanwhile, Indiana shoots a high rate of triples, which negates the slower pace at which it operates. In my opinion, this total is reflective of the pace at which these teams operate.

With how often both teams tend to foul, we should get a fair amount of scoring with the clock stopped. Combine that with Oregon’s poor defense, and we shouldn’t have a problem clearing the total.

Lamar Wilkerson Over 21.5 points

Tucker DeVries Over 6.5 rebounds
Our beyond the arc SGP: Hoosiers make hay
DeVries shoots five percentage points higher at home from beyond the arc than he does away from home. As a result, he’s hit at least three triples in three of his last four games, and Oregon’s porous perimeter defense will give him enough quality looks to do so again.
Bittle is nothing if not consistent when it comes to getting assists. He has exactly two assists in five of his last six games, and we’ll back him to have his ninth straight game with multiple assists.
