The Oklahoma Sooners have been off since their loss to Texas eight days ago. They’re next on the floor Monday night in Nashville when they take on the Vanderbilt Commodores in a top 10 matchup. Both OU and Vandy land inside the top 10 in the latest AP Top 25 women’s basketball poll released Monday.
Oklahoma moved up one spot in the rankings, taking advantage of Iowa’s five-spot drop in the poll. The Commodores moved up two spots this week after wins over Florida and Kentucky last week. They took LSU’s spot at No. 5 after the Tigers fell to Texas on Friday night.

The top four of the AP Poll remain unchanged, with undefeated UConn in a commanding position at No. 1 and earning every first-place vote once again. UCLA, which beat Oklahoma in the second game of the season, is No. 2 in the nation still, followed by South Carolina and the Texas Longhorns.
The Sooners have been right around No. 10 for a large part of the 2025-2026 season and have put themselves in a strong position to host the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament in Norman. If they can finish the season strong, they’ll earn a top four seed and have a shot to make the Sweet 16 for the second season in a row.
