Adding to her impressive collection of honors, Iowa women’s basketball signee McKenna Woliczko has officially been named a semifinalist for the 2025-26 Naismith Trophy Girls’ High School Player of the Year award.
Woliczko, who was named to the 2025-26 McDonald’s All-American Girls’ Game roster on Feb. 2, has also been named to the MaxPreps’ National Player of the Year watch list and to the 2026 Team USA Junior Women’s Basketball Nike Hoops Summit roster.

Woliczko is averaging 20.8 points and 11.0 rebounds while shooting 67%, according to her father, Aaron Woliczko. In 11 games played for Archbishop Mitty, the 6-foot-2 forward from San Bruno, Calif., has recorded six games with at least 20 points and collected seven double-doubles.
Woiczko is joined in the Naismith Trophy semifinalists list by Addison Bjorn (Texas), Oliviyah Edwards (Tennessee), Maddyn Greenway (Kentucky), Saniyah Hall (USC), Kate Harpring (North Carolina), Jerzy Robinson (South Carolina), Olivia Vukosa (UConn), and 2027 Iowa recruits Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka and Kaleena Smith.
Woliczko is Iowa’s highest-ranked signee since Caitlin Clark in 2020. The Cali product checks in as the nation’s No. 6 player, as the No. 2 power forward, and as the No. 2 player from California, per 247Sports. Woliczko is also Jan Jensen’s highest-ranked signee in her tenure as head coach of the Hawkeyes.
