Ishan Kishan fired on all cylinders against Namibia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The batter smashed five 6s and a couple of 4s in seven consecutive balls he faced.
Team India, the defending champion and the co-host of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2026, is far ahead of their opposition, Namibia, in all departments. As cricket is beyond the equations on paper, Namibia had some hope before today’s match. But the ruthless Ishan Kishan gave them the reality check.

On the sixth over of the first innings, the southpaw was blazing his guns against the pacer JJ Smit. After sustaining a dot ball, the southpaw hit 4 sixes in a row, followed by four to conclude the over. In the next over, when Kishan went on to strike, he continued the momentum with another 6 and 4. He needed only 20 balls to complete his half-century.

Abhishek Sharma is out of the India vs Namibia match because of an upset stomach. In place of him, Sanju Samson went to open the innings with Ishan. Samson went for 22 off 8, a brief but effective knock. But it was the Jharkhand-born who dragged the Namibian cricketers down on the ground. He was dismissed after scoring 61 off 24, powered by six 4s and five 6s, with a strike rate of 254.17.
