With a little less than a month left in the women’s college basketball regular season, the lists for yearly awards are coming into focus. On Tuesday, Longhorns stars Madison Booker and Rori Harmon moved closer to adding to their trophy cases. The talented duo was named to the 2026 Wooden Award Late Midseason Top 20 Watch List.
Each year, the award is given to the best player in the country. Currently, the watch list includes 20 players in the running for the most prestigious award in college basketball. While Harmon and Booker do face competition, they have made compelling cases with their play this season.
As the Longhorns have gotten off to a 23-2 start, Harmon has been a reliable source of offense. The Texas native is averaging 8.8 points and team high 6.5 assists per game. As Harmon has continued to be a human highlight reel, she has etched her name in the history books, setting program records in assists and steals.

Like Harmon, Booker has shown why she is one of the best players at her position. The 2025 SEC Player of the Year is averaging a career high 19 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.5 steals a game. She has been hard to stop with the ball in her hands, shooting 50.5 percent from the field. Due to her play, Booker is on the verge of moving into the Longhorns’ top ten all-time scoring list.
While the Longhorns duo will have to wait a few weeks to learn their fate in the Wooden Award race, their focus is on helping Texas win a national title. They are currently ranked fourth in the country and fell just a few wins short of a title last year. With March Madness quickly approaching, it could be an unforgettable upcoming few weeks for Texas.
If Booker and Harmon can build on their recent play, they could be going home with a few new accolades on their resumes.
