WWE SmackDown on February 13, 2026 already has major stakes heading into Elimination Chamber — but one championship match may have a clear favorite behind the scenes.
Jade Cargill is set to defend the WWE Women’s Championship against Jordynne Grace after weeks of escalating tension. While the match has been promoted as a high-impact showdown between two powerhouses, a new backstage update suggests the outcome may not be much of a mystery internally.
According to Fightful Select, those within WWE are largely expecting the champion to walk out still holding gold.
“Everyone we spoke to in WWE expects Jade Cargill to emerge victorious on Smackdown and continue with the Women’s Title.”
That report points to Cargill maintaining her reign rather than Grace scoring a surprise title win tonight.
If the internal expectation holds true, Cargill’s title reign will continue past SmackDown and likely roll straight into the Elimination Chamber premium live event build. Of course, plans can always shift before bell time, and WWE has a history of last-minute creative changes. But as of now, the word backstage is that Jade Cargill is expected to retain.
