Cody Rhodes Wants Bad Bunny vs. Logan Paul at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas

by

WrestleMania 42 is just over 60 days away, and Cody Rhodes already has a blockbuster idea for the card — Bad Bunny vs. Logan Paul in Las Vegas.

TMZ Sports caught up with the former Undisputed WWE Champion in New York City and asked him about the possibility of Bad Bunny returning to WWE in time for WrestleMania. Rhodes didn’t dodge the question. In fact, he made it clear he wants the global music superstar back under the bright lights in Sin City.

“I hope we get him back. He did a wonderful job, but he’s on top of the world right now.”

Rhodes was referencing Bad Bunny’s recent Super Bowl halftime show, which drew 128.2 million viewers — the fourth most-watched halftime performance in NFL history. While Rhodes admitted Prince’s 2007 Super Bowl set still sits at the top of his personal list, he didn’t hesitate to call Bunny’s show an all-timer.

But the real headline came when the conversation turned to WrestleMania 42 and a potential opponent.

When asked who Bad Bunny should face if he returns, Rhodes threw out Logan Paul’s name — a matchup that would instantly headline social media and dominate mainstream coverage. While Rhodes isn’t booking the show, the message was clear: if Bad Bunny comes back, put him in a marquee match on WWE’s biggest stage.

Bad Bunny is no stranger to stepping inside the squared circle. His last WWE appearance came in May 2023 in Puerto Rico, where he defeated Damian Priest in a violent San Juan Street Fight at Backlash. Since then, he’s focused on his music career, which continues to reach record-setting heights.

Logan Paul, meanwhile, has carved out a serious WWE résumé since his in-ring debut in April 2021. The social media star has competed in major matches at WrestleMania and proven he belongs in high-profile spots.

With WrestleMania 42 heading back to Las Vegas, the idea of Bad Bunny vs. Logan Paul feels tailor-made for spectacle. Cody Rhodes has now publicly endorsed it — and fans will undoubtedly start fantasy booking it immediately.
