When it comes to the 2027 class, Longhorns football has been very active over the last few weeks. As they continue to build a brighter future, they got encouraging news regarding wide receiver Alvin Mosley. The four-star recruit set his visit to Forty Acres to be from June 12th to 14th.
While Steve Sarkisian and his staff will do everything they can to land a commitment from Mosley, they also face competition. He has received offers from Ole Miss, Arizona State, Arkansas, Florida State, LSU, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and Vanderbilt. On that list, Mosley has also set an official visit with Ole Miss in June.
The heavy competition for Mosley’s services comes as no surprise, given how he is viewed by scouts. Currently, the Fort Bend Crawford High star is ranked as the 18th-best wide receiver in his class by 247Sports. They also rank him as the 17th best player from Texas and the 116th player in the nation. With some room to grow, Mosley could see his stock continue to rise.

During his high school career, Mosley has made an impact every time he steps on the field. The Lone Star State native hauled in 67 catches for 1,138 yards last season. He also found the end zone 20 times and added 190 rushing yards to his resume. It marked the second straight season that Mosley had at least 800 receiving yards.
Although the 2027 season is still months away, the Longhorns have already started filling out their roster. They have secured commitments from four-star wide receiver Easton Royal, three-star edge Cameron Hall, three-star tight end JT Geraci, quarterback Ty Knutson and three-star linebacker Cade Haug. That group is currently ranked as the ninth-best in the nation.
If Texas were to land a commitment from Mosley, the offense would be in very good hands. Having Royal and Mosley as targets would put highly regarded quarterback Dia Bell in a position to succeed as he carves out his legacy in Austin. Over the next few months, a lot could change, but the Longhorns will be a program to watch when it comes to Mosley.
