The No. 1 ranked UConn women’s basketball team continued its dominance this week with victories over Creighton and Marquette. The Huskies (27-0, 16-0 Big East) are projected to be the No. 1 overall seed for the NCAA tournament in the latest bracketology projection from ESPN’s Charlie Creme.
UConn, winner of 43 straight, hasn’t lost since an 80-76 decision against Tennessee over a year ago.

The Huskies remain unanimous No. 1 in the AP Top 25 poll for the sixth consecutive week.
With the NCAA Tournament now five weeks away, here is the latest Bracketology projection for the Huskies.

ESPN: Charlie Creme says that the Huskies are a No. 1 seed in Fort Worth Region 1. UConn joins UCLA, South Carolina, and Texas as projected No. 1 seeds. Creme gives the Huskies a first-round matchup in Storrs against No. 16 Alabama A&M or Chattanooga. The winner would go on to face No. 8 Illinois or No. 9 Syracuse. Creme’s projected top five seeds in Fort Worth Region 1 are UConn, LSU, Iowa, Kentucky, and West Virginia. It sets up a potential UConn versus LSU matchup in the Elite Eight.
