The 12th Man showed up in a massive way to support the Aggie football program’s historic success at Kyle Field in 2026.
According to reported average attendances from each Southeastern Conference program, the Aggies ranked first in the league with 106,159 members of the Maroon and White faithful showing up per contest this season. That average is 4,000 more than the SEC’s second-best home attendance from the Texas Longhorns. Texas A&M’s average attendance marks the largest in Kyle Field’s history, with a total of 743,113 across seven home contests during the regular season.

The program’s first-round exit in the CFP against Miami featured the second-largest crowd in playoff history, with 104,122 fans in attendance.
That support displays the trust and belief in what third-year head coach Mike Elko is building in Bryan-College Station. Elko led his unit to the school’s first 11-0 start since 1992 and its first appearance in the CFP in 2025. While the season didn’t end like the Aggies were hoping for, there were many flashes of a program on the rise.
Leading the SEC in average attendance proves Texas A&M’s claim of being one of the most hostile environments in college football. If the Aggies continue to succeed on the gridiron and bring an exciting brand of football to Kyle Field in 2026, there could be more records shattered next season.

Texas A&M will host Missouri State, Arizona State, Kentucky, Arkansas, The Citadel, Tennessee and Texas this year in College Station. Rivalry games against the Razorbacks and Longhorns, as well as the first home game against the Volunteers since 2016, provide the opportunity for more record-setting crowds.
