Sahibzada Farhan’s stunning hundred during Pakistan’s do-or-die T20 World Cup 2026 clash against Namibia on February 15 in Colombo brought a funny reaction from India star Yuzvendra Chahal.

Historic milestones for Sahibzada Farhan at T20 World Cup 2026

Sahibzada Farhan played a stunning unbeaten knock of 100 runs from 58 balls and powered Pakistan to 199/3 in 20 overs. He reached his century in 57 deliveries, making it the fastest T20 World Cup hundred by a Pakistani player. Earlier, Ahmed Shehzad had taken 58 balls for his century against Bangladesh in 2014.

With this innings, Farhan also became only the second Pakistani to score a hundred in T20 World Cup history after Shehzad. Farhan started slowly and was scoring at a strike rate close to 110. But once he got comfortable, he changed his approach completely.

He attacked the bowlers all around the ground and finished with 11 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate above 170. During this knock, Farhan also broke Mohammad Rizwan’s record for the highest individual score by a Pakistani batter against Namibia in a T20 World Cup match.

Yuzvendra Chahal’s funny take on Farhan’s knock goes viral

It also became the best T20I score of the Pakistani opener’s career. During the innings break, Yuzvendra Chahal made a light and funny comment on the show. He said that after this performance, Farhan might soon get another documentary made on himself and joked that the Namibian bowlers should also get a role in it.

Chahal said on Star Sports’ innings break show, “Another documentary is coming. I hope he gives a role to the Namibian bowlers in the documentary.”

The joke was linked to an earlier short film that was made after Farhan had smashed Jasprit Bumrah for three sixes in the Asia Cup 2025. However, India had also won that game in Dubai.

Pakistan thrash Namibia by 102 runs, secure Super Eight spot in T20 World Cup 2026

Meanwhile, Pakistan kept their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign alive with a massive 102-run win over Namibia in Colombo on Wednesday at the Sinhalese Sports Club ground. It was a do-or-die match for them. A loss would have knocked them out of the tournament, but they delivered under pressure.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Pakistan posted a strong total of 199 for 3. The star of the night was Sahibzada Farhan. Sahibzada Farhan handled the early pressure and later attacked freely to push the score close to 200. Namibia started well with the ball and kept things tight in the first few overs.

But after the eighth over, Pakistan changed gears. The batters began finding boundaries regularly and did not allow the bowlers to settle. In reply, Namibia struggled against Pakistan’s bowling attack and could not match the required run rate.

Wickets kept falling, and the chase never really took off. Pakistan wrapped up the game comfortably, winning by 102 runs and sealing their place in the Super Eight stage. Now, from Group A, India and Pakistan have qualified for the Super 8 round.
