The 6-4, 230-pound Oglesby, rated as the state’s No. 5 prospect by On3 sports, listed Indiana and Purdue, along with Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina and USC, as his top schools.
New Palestine Dragons Mason Oglesby (11) carries the ball Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, during the Class 5A football state championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Oglesby has an official visit set for IU from April 24-26. He recently visited both Kansas and Missouri and his most recent offer, earlier this month, is from USC. Oglesby caught 34 passes for 513 yards and six touchdowns as a junior for the Class 5A state champion Dragons. He also had 33 tackles, including seven for a loss, at outside linebacker.
Last month, with Indiana getting ready to play in the national championship game against Miami (Fla.), Oglesby said IU was the school that had the closest connection with him.

“IU was the first big school to take a chance on me and offer me a scholarship,” Oglesby said. “They were my first Big Ten offer, first Power Four offer. I’ve always really liked IU. Then winning all these games, I think it really opens up everybody’s eyes to how good the coaching staff really is.”
Oglesby also talked about Kansas’ use of its tight ends and Purdue’s connection, including his former New Palestine teammate Brock Brownfield, as potential factors.
