Vishy is a living legend. He was the first Indian player ever to become the World Champion—and then went on to win four more World Championship matches. A driving force in Indian chess, Vishy paved the way for India to become the chess superpower it is today. To this day, he’s an inspiration and a hero to all Indian players.

Tania Sachdev is one of the most recognizable faces in Indian women’s chess. An accomplished player herself, Tania has represented her country at multiple Chess Olympiads, including helping India win gold in 2024. Despite her success as a player, Tania is best known for her work off the board. With her insightful comments and contagious enthusiasm, she’s established herself as one of the world’s most beloved chess commentators.
