Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class. The Vols offered a scholarship to four-star cornerback Tavares Harrington.
“Truly blessed to receive an offer from Vol football,” Harrington announced.

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound prospect is from Mount Carmel High School in Chicago, Illinois. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 13 cornerback in the class and No. 6 player in Illinois.
Kansas State was the first school to offer Harrington a scholarship on Jan. 23, 2025.
Other Power Four schools to offer him scholarships include Louisville, Iowa State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Alabama, Michigan State, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Notre Dame, Indiana, Arizona State, Miami, Kansas, Iowa, Washington, Maryland, Minnesota, UCLA, Arkansas, Michigan, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Illinois, Oklahoma, Northwestern, North Carolina, Georgia, USC, Florida State, Penn State, Kentucky, Oregon, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Boston College and Pittsburgh.
Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife and quarterback Derrick Baker.
