Charlie Creme of ESPN released updated women’s basketball bracketology for the 2026 NCAA Tournament on Friday. Tennessee (16-9, 8-5 SEC) is projected as a No. 6 seed and would open tournament play in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Lady Vols are projected to face No. 11 seed Rice in the first round. The winner would advance to play either No. 3 seed TCU or No. 14 seed Idaho in the second round.

Creme projects UConn as the No. 1 overall seed, Arizona State as the last team in and Utah as the first team out of the NCAA Tournament.
The Final Four will be contested April 3-5 at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
Tennessee has three games remaining in the regular season: at Oklahoma, at LSU and versus Vanderbilt. The SEC Tournament will be contested March 4-8 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.
