What to Watch For
-
Another top-ten opponent – While Penn State clearly has problems of its own, the Big Ten is a monster this year. The gauntlet will continue against No. 9 Nebraska, but the Nittany Lions have played three other teams that are currently ranked in the top ten of the AP Poll in No. 1 Michigan, No. 7 Purdue, and No. 10 Illinois.
-
Flash in the pan? – It seems that even in the worst of down years, Penn State basketball is able to pull off an upset nobody saw coming. It looked like January 6’s tilt with Michigan was going to be the one, but maybe this Nebraska game has a chance to be?
Prediction
Vibes are at an all-time low right now. Penn State has failed to build on the little momentum it gained in the win over Washington, and I don’t see the bleeding stopping Saturday afternoon.
Nebraska 76, Penn State 59
