UFC Mexico full fight: Brandon Moreno outclasses Amir Albazi

by

Brandon Moreno performed like he never left in his return to MMA.

Moreno, a former UFC flyweight champion, took a break from MMA in early 2024 after suffering consecutive split decision losses. After staying away from the media, and to some degree training, Moreno returned nine months later to face top contender Amir Albazi in the main event of UFC Fight Night 246. Moreno put on a dominant performance, winning two 50-45 rounds and one 49-46 on the judges’ scorecards.

Moreno (23-9-2 MMA, 11-6-2 UFC) returns to the cage this Saturday in the main event of UFC Fight Night 268 (Paramount+) – which takes place at Arena CDMX in Mexico City. He takes on short notice replacement Lone’er Kavanagh (9-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) in a five-round bout.
